Questions & AnswersCategory: Questionsissue with language specific menu in my Squarespace website
contact12 asked 7 years ago
I work on my Squarespace's website and I've managed to set up several language specific menus by adding [french] or  [english] at the bottom on the menu item I want to be only in a specific language. It works very well on my footer but doesn't work at all in my main navigation and second navigation. If I mix both french and english menu item on the main navigation or the second navigation then nothing appear. Since it works well in my footer, is there anything to do with my site header ?  Thanks !

The language-specific-menus hide the ENTIRE menu. They’re designed for sub-menus really, not for the horizontal navigation area.
There is a new feature being added – it’s in our dev environment right now – called language-specific-pages which makes it possible and easy to do what you’re saying, to have mixed language pages inside one menu and have only the relevant ones shown to the user.
