Questions & AnswersCategory: QuestionsUsing during Squarespace site build, prior to going live?
Stephen Heaton asked 4 years ago

Hello there.

Can I buy and use Multilingualizer on a Squarespace site that's under construction before I have a final domain in place for it? So my client can see the translations in operation whilst the site is under construction (using Squarespace's autogenerated temporary domain and password protected log-in), so prior to going live and directing my clients own domain to it? The new site will replace their old WordPress site but it has to remain in place until final switchover if that makes sense?

Thanks and kind regards

Stephen

Yes – you can enter squarespace domain then when ready to go live, you need to regenerate the code and alter the domain name – the config area allows you to change a domain name from the squarespace temporary ones to something else.

When you go live, regenerate the code with your live domain name and re-copy it over to the code injection area and everything will be ready.
