Problem:
I read the directions for doing images in Squarespace. My understanding is that I only need to use a single language in the caption for each image, and Multilingualizer will sort it out.
So, I have two image blocks, one above the next. Each has a caption in only one language. There are no dots / full stops in the caption. Just text.
I tried this both in Event page type and normal page type. Language is Japanese, English.
Questions:
- Have I misunderstood the directions?
- Should I be using dots / full stops in the caption?

Hi – to hide images simply insert the language name for this image block into the description or alt text of the image. For example, if you wish the image to be displayed only for English-speaking users, add [english] to the alt text or description. If you wish it to display only for Spanish-speakers, insert [spanish]. The Multilingualizer will then hide the images if the user doesn’t speak that language – that means you can create language-specific images and have them displayed to the correct users.

To translate captions, you can use the Multilingualizer short-hand – e.g. TEXT1..TEXT2..TEXT3 – simply separate your language texts with 2 dots in the caption.
