Hello,
I have implemented the code and rewritten texts with the full stops but it's not implemented, I cannot see the menu bars nor the translations:

I'm also unsure how to translate text that hovers over images and text on buttons.

For the buttons you will need to follow the instructions on under the Translating the hard-coded text in Squarespace header on the support page.
The troubleshooting guide at the bottom of the page should with everything else.
