Hi!
I installed your code on a Webflow website. I just made a test page with a Dutch and English text block and some temporary language buttons. It appeared that when I click the "en" button, the dutch text block is gone, but all the tage and tags are still there and cause a block of whitespace. I have to scroll to see the english text.
Am I doing something wrong? Hope you can help!
This is the test page:

Thanks in advance,

I was talking about "p" and "strong" tags, and used HTML tags by accident, so now half of the text is bold and hardly understandable… sorry! I said: .".. but all the P tags and STRONG tags are still there…"
You probably used br tags which sometimes happen with SHIFT+ENTER inside web editors. The white space is retained from these.
Or possibly from bullets – the white space is retained from these. See our troubleshooting guide for all this info and workarounds.
Thanks Dave for the quick answer!
I deleted all the bullets and shift enters to see if that’s the problem. And I only used 2 paragraphs. But another thing that’s happening: it also create whitespace where there were email adressess and urls. Take a look in the source code. All text is gone, but all href’s are still there..
It also corrupts an url in the visible text, only https: is visible, the url is gone..
best,
Mark
Please confirm you have installed the multilingualizer correctly – I see you have installed two copies. There should only be one.

And then check the troubleshooting guide – like I said, you have br tags, these retain their space. So please use normal paragraphs rather than br tags.

I was working on the site so it temporarily had 2 copies of the script installed. But that didn’t cause the problem as you might know.
But what about the hidden url’s that causes whitespaces and corrupts the urls’? I deleted all the breaks etc. But it still gives some extra whitespace in the translated text (check the source code, it shows url’s between P tags at the top of the translated text). I can’t propose this to a client to be honest. It has to many "side effects" which the client will not understand or is willing to execute (not using line breaks, the instruction with the bulleted lists, the bug with the url’s, etc.)… I’m sorry to say but it feels a little buggy or immature.

I’m not happy to be honest. My expectations were a bit higher. What are the possibilities for a refund? I’m not going to use your solution for a client right now, and stick to Weglot.
Hiding url’s in the comments don’t work by the way.. I see [URL REDACTED] in the first post, but that’s only when I’m logged in. When I’m logged out, I can see the complete url (?)/ Shouldn’t it be the other way around? All the other URL’s are visible…
Hi, could you please give any feedback on my last question and remarks?
Unfortunately I’m not happy with the product and it doesn’t do what I expected. So could we arrange a refund?
Best,
Mark
I also emailed you on [email protected], but that email address bounces the email.

Hi Mark – sorry about [email protected] not working – please send your order number and refund request to [email protected] and I’ll sort it out for you
