Hi Peatra,
It should work exactly the same as any other text, whereby if you input the full quote, including Japanese quotations, set within the 4-2-4 dot formation, it should translate as normal.
If this doesn’t work for you, let us know and a developer will write aa short line of code to allow this to happen.
It should already work, but if not, we will upgrade the plugin immediately for all users.
Kind regards
John
Hi John,
Unfortunately that isn’t the case because the Quote Block adds the quotation marks. All the user does is type the content of the quote.
So if I use the 4-2-4 dot formation, the Japanese quote will still display as “「あなたの同意なしに、誰もあなたに劣等感を抱かせることはできない。」”.
Is it possible to translate the quotation marks added by the Quote Block?
Hi Peatra,
Can you send me an email address to [email protected] and one of our team will be on hand to help you directly?
I am at a loss regarding the Imiex word from your other open issue, perhaps Sam our developer may be able to shed some light on it.
When you send me your email, I will add the task on our management suite and Sam will be in touch to help you out.
Kind regards
John
Hi Peatra
Going by what you’ve said, most likely the quotation marks are being added by the CSS, which controls the styling of a page.
If you were able to provide a link to your site that shows the issue, I should be able to write some custom CSS that will format the blocks according to your selected language. It would then just be a case of pasting this into your site.
