Questions & AnswersCategory: QuestionsProblems with 3rd language – Cyrillic
Annika asked 8 years ago
Hi there, I'm using multilingualizer on different websites and I can see the progress the product is having so congrats on that. But - there has never been a website where ml has worked smoothly from the beginning and it's kind of frustrating. At the moment, I'm having troubles inserting a third language (cyrillic) on www.legeartislech.com  I originally only had a german and english version, now we extended it to a third, russian. I went to my account and generated a new code, so that shouldn't be the issue. The page often mixes between the languages and shows the third language (russian) instead of the second (english), the first (German) instead of the third, etc...

The project has to be finished within the next 2 days, I'd appreciate a very fast answer on this (as I've been waiting for ages in the past)... thank you!! Annika

Hey there. Would it be possibly to give admin access to your website so that our dev can have a look and fix your issue ASAP? Please send it to my private email if so – [email protected]

A dev had a look at your issue, the problem seems to be HTML placed where it does not belong together with copy/pasted text from microsoft Word which is interfering with the code (producing corrupted HTML).
There were also a couple of places where the languages were placed in the wrong order.
We were able to fix some of what we could find. There are lots of places that are incomplete, however – where there are only two languages listed, for example.
One problem is that in re-pasting, we have to remove some formatting, eg bold or italic if it’s there. When we try to re-apply it, Squarespace won’t let us – it jumps the cursor up to the top of the text block, which is more than likely to be a consequence of some corruption in the HTML. This is not connected to Multilingualizer, since this is happening in the editor.
The solution to the problem would be to arrange the HTML code properly and remove the corrupted copy/paste WORD texts. Naturally, we can’t do that without your permission, as it would mean deleting a lot of the content from your website.
