In squarespace, in a form,  if we put an instruction in the field box, the translation does not work for this text (text in blue)   Screen Shot 2016-10-24 at 19.39.59.png

The problem is in the placeholder text of the field Email, the text ‘….Si par mégarde… ‘ is not translated, FR/EN and dots remains.

Hi Info7,
When I check for errors on the page it says that the text has no anchor – is there a 4-2-4 translation in the field box?

info7 replied 8 years ago

There is a 4-2-4 translation in the field box:
This text: ….Si par mégarde, il y a une erreur dans votre adresse courriel, l’inscription ne pourra être complétée. .. if inadvertently, there is a mistake in your email, the registration will therefore be incomplete. ….
Then, I should have ‘if inadvertently, there is a mistake in your email, the registration will therefore be incomplete.’ in English.

same problem in that page: http://www.perifmedia.com/impact-j/ (form in the middle of the page)
placeholder text: ….Si vous désirez une réponse, inscrire votre courriel..If you want an answer, enter your email….

As noted previously Info7, I think this is a styling issue with your form and not the Multilingualizer – whatever it is is overriding the 4-2-4. Is it possible to work around this and maybe offer the translated text above the field?

info7 replied 8 years ago

OK it is not a priority, I will put the text above the field.

Hi Info7,

Its unique script for the field box making the error I think – can you not just give an ‘incorrect input’ message – or put above the field box ‘if your email is wrong, the subscription is incomplete’in the text as with the other note that exists there already.

Also, is it possible that the customers might already know that if they give the wrong email they aren’t subscribed.

Is it essential that you have that this text in the field box?

John
